At D-10 Architects, we are committed to the principals of sustainable development with the aim of improving overall building quality for building owners and users, thus reducing the long and short term environmental impact of our buildings. Andrew Day was an Associate at ECD (Energy Conscious Design) before moving to Surrey. He represented Guildford Borough Council at the Frieburg Energy Conference.

We assess each individual project to determine the most appropriate sustainable strategies and always consider integration of passive strategies before suggesting technological solutions. Where possible we encourage the thermal upgrade of existing structures and ensure the best use of orientation and shape to reduce the need for artificial forms of conditioning. We encourage the use of natural light and natural ventilation and produce buildings that can adapt to future uses.
